New Classes!!!!!

Sock Class
Toe up, Magic Loop

WHEN: Wednesday 1/24 and 2/7, 6-8pm
Sunday 1/28, and Saturday 2/10, 10am – noon

COST: $40 plus materials*

MATERIALS: ChiaoGoo Mini circular needles; 30″ cable and 2.25 or 2.5 mm tips (US size 1 or 1.5), 100 grams sock yarn, fingering weight. Please have your materials purchased and yarn wound prior to the first class.

PREPARATION FOR CLASS: Purchase Sockmatician pattern on Ravelry (we can do that for you in the shop if you provide your Ravelry user name).

Review Judy’s Magic Cast On. We will start with this technique in the first class.

First Class: Sizing, Cast on, toe shaping, review how to increase for gusset
Second Class: Turn Heel (German short rows), Heel flap

Beginner Crochet Class

Learn to crochet or brush up on your basic skills.

Join us for this fun two-part class and tackle some basic crochet skills to make a toasty pair of hand warmers.

WHEN: Wednesday 2/14 and 2/28, 6-8pm
Saturday 2/17 and 3/3, 10am – Noon

COST: $40 plus materials* Please have materials purchased and yarn wound prior to class. “Practice” yarn will be provided for first class.


YARN for hand warmers, needed for second class
Approx. 150 yds/137m of worsted-weight yarn for each pair (ball band should suggest a knitted gauge of approx. 18 stitches = 4″/10cm).

US H/8 (5mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge.
Blunt darning needle to finish.
Optional: 2 locking markers to mark turning chains.

Skill-Building Series

Sign up for this series of two hour workshops to learn or perfect widely used knitting skills and techniques. We will begin with Ravelry Know-How in February and review the remaining workshops, homework and materials needed…your syllabus for the series.

COST: $120 for Six 2-hour workshops, plus materials
MATERIALS: Varies, we will review this in the first workshop*
PREREQUISITES: Beginner knitting skills, knit and purl stitches, cast on, bind off.
