Year of Mittens Knit-along

Who doesn’t love a great stash of mittens to wear throughout the cooler weather or a pair of mittens ready to give to that special someone? Love 2 Knit will be hosting a year-long knit-along featuring The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering, a lovely blend of merino wool, masham wool and mohair.

WHAT TO EXPECT
While the mitten released each month will be a surprise, you won’t see anything that you haven’t already come to expect from Kelbourne Woolens patterns. There will be classic cables, interesting colorwork, and unique lace applications, all with a heavy dose of classic inspiration and historical information. Any new techniques will come with detailed photographs and clear step-by-step instructions conveniently linked in the pattern to Kelbourne Woolens’ Tips and Tricks page.

Membership purchased through the shop will include 12 patterns, each one to be released the first of the month beginning August 1, 2016 and ending July 1, 2017, a monthly shop raffle if you finish your mittens before the next pattern is released, and an in-store knit-along the first Saturday of the month from 10am to noon. Participants who finish all of the mittens by August 31, 2017 will be eligible for a grand prize.

Cost: $35 plus the cost of yarn (one skein per month, $22 per skein). We will put the pattern in your Ravelry library so please have your username handy. Otherwise we will print a copy of each pattern for you. Please stop in or call the shop with credit card information to sign up! First in-shop KAL is Saturday, 8/6/2016.
